Forage Partner Nutritional Supplements have been specifically designed to partner with existing forages to meet the nutritional requirements of your herd. Our goal when developing this suite of economical products was to provide your grazing cattle with the nutrients they need. Put Forage Partner Nutritional Supplements to work on your farm today!

Liquid Supplements

Producers find that Forage Partner Liquid Supplements are an affordable, convenient way to make sure their cattle’s nutritional requirements are met.

Key Features:

Palatable: Cattle are attracted to the molasses in Forage Partner Liquid Supplements. Cattle will satisfy their needs without overeating. Overeating is unlikely as long as proper feeding and management practices are followed.

Molasses-Based Product: Provided sugar is a source of energy which stimulates beneficial micro-organisms in the rumen, allowing the animal to break down forages faster and easier.
The resulting boost in appetite will increase cattle’s intake of grass or hay, helping meet reproduction goals and producing healthier, heavier livestock.

Feeding Options

As a Convenient Lick Wheel Free Choice Feeding:  provides animals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to supplementation.

    • Ideal form of supplementation for animals receiving medium to low quality forages.
    • Several small meals over the course of the day.
    • Opportunity for less dominant animals to come to the feed unchallenged.

As an Ingredient:  to be mixed with all-in-one rations or concentrates.

As a Top Dress:  to enhance the palatability of the roughage or grain portion of your animal’s diet.

  1. Tank Location – Intake is higher when tanks are located near water, mineral feeders, shelter, or other areas frequented by cattle.
  2. Calves – calves can and should consume the liquid. Their intake must be allowed for also.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS

This supplement is intended for cattle only. This is a supplement, not a complete ration, and must be fed with adequate roughage and grain.
This supplement may be fed top-dressed, mixed into other components of the ration; Product is designed to be used to increase the palatability of hay. For best results it is best to use with a bale injector system. Another way to use product would be to tip a round bale on its side and pour some of the liquid over the end. Allow to soak in. Then flip the bale and pour some liquid over the other end of the bale. It is best to feed the soaked hay within seven days of the time you make the initial pour. Loose poorly wrapped hay may tend to fall apart once it has been soaked. Be sure all hay is either wrapped good and tight or net wrapped for best results.

Beef Minerals

Forage Partner Minerals have been specifically formulated to partner with forage types found in the fescue belt. Each product provides the nutrients needed by grazing cattle.

Key Features:

Excellent Source of Phosphorus: Monocalcium phosphate is the most readily available source of phosphorus for livestock.

Cooper Sulfate as the Source of Copper: Copper is a very important trace mineral and influences conception rate, early embryo survival, and ovulation in cows.

Sulfate and Oxide Sources of Manganese and Zinc: This helps hold down costs to make the products a better value.

Has a 1-3-4 Ratio of Copper, Manganese, and Zinc: To help balance key trace minerals with the levels of those same trace minerals found in cool season fescue belt grasses.

26.4 ppm Selenium: The highest legal level of Sodium Selenite you can have in a four ounce feed rate mineral.

Contains Salt: Salt is provided for the proper function of the nervous and muscular systems. A salt deficiency causes loss of appetite and body condition. Cows will voluntarily consume about one (1) ounce of salt per day (cows will consume more salt when the forage is succulent and vegetative). Salt is one of the main drivers of free choice mineral intake and can be used to maintain mineral consumption at the recommended levels.

Contain Vitamins:

    • Vitamin A influences reproductive tract integrity and conception rate.
    • Several small meals over the course of the day.
    • Opportunity for less dominant animals to come to the feed unchallenged.

Flavoring Agents: Artificial flavors have been added to ensure mineral consumption.

Mineral Oil: Added to help make the product more appealing.

DO NOT FEED TO OVERLY HUNGRY OR STARVED ANIMALS AS OVER CONSUMP- TION MAY OCCUR.
Adequate roughage must be available at all times. Intake of these products should average 0.75 to 2.0 lbs. per head per day based on a 1,000 pound animal.
Forage Partner Thermo-CuredTM Nutrient Dense tub products are designed for “FREE-CHOICE” usage in conjunction with good management practices. Consumption is influenced by a com- bination of factors, including quality and quan- tity of roughage, access to clean water, weather conditions, and previous feeding and manage- ment practices. Upon initial offering, place blocks at a ratio of one block per 25 to 40 head in an area where animals congregate, such as in loafing areas, near water source or where supplemental roughage is fed. Once animals have become accustomed to the Forage Partner Supplement, consumption can be managed:

  • TO PROMOTE HIGHER LEVELS OF CON- SUMPTION: Increase number of blocks available. Relocate blocks closer to loafing, water, or feeding locations.
  • TO REDUCE LEVELS OF CONSUMP- TION: Reverse above practices.
  • OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING PRECAU- TIONS: Provide unlimited drinking water. Provide adequate roughage in terms of both quantity and quality. Provide adequate min- eral supplement free-choice in addition to FORAGE PARTNER FEED PRODUCT SUPPLEMENT. Monitor consumption closely and employ the above management practices to control animal intake.

WARNING: Forage Partner Thermo-CuredTM Nutrient Dense Tubs contain added copper and should not be fed to sheep or any species with a low tolerance to supplemental copper.
Feeding added selenium in excess of 0.3 ppm in the total diet is prohibited.
